Stay on top of these opportunities and don’t hesitate to apply. The perfect role might be just a click away. Until next time, take care and happy job hunting!

I keep 15-minute alerts on LinkedIn to snag “real-time” postings; some education gigs vanish same-day.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

I’ve had better luck applying within the first hour and dropping a tiny ‘before/after’ line edit in the note — my callbacks almost doubled. Building on @isanchez, if a posting vanishes I jump to the company’s careers page via the LinkedIn company link; it’s often still live — like concert tickets, blink and you miss it; anyone else seeing that?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

Lately I get more callbacks by sending a one-page portfolio sorted by niche (edtech/news) and naming it ‘Lopez_Editor_AP-SEO-CMS.pdf’ so ATS screens don’t miss it. I also apply through the source on Greenhouse when possible — fewer dead links than big boards: https://boards.greenhouse.io/. Speed helps, but I skip posts without a pay range or scope since those tend to ghost.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

When a role pops up, I go straight to the company’s Greenhouse board (https://boards.greenhouse.io/) rather than the aggregator — updates land there first and I can cite the req ID in my note. Small caveat: tiny orgs hiring by email won’t show, so I keep a tight bookmarks list for them.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

, the ‘posted in real-time’ thing is real — I’ve had roles disappear by lunchtime, so I keep a TextExpander blurb + three clips ready and block 7–9 a.m. ET for quick applies. If you’re skipping aggregators, Lever-hosted listings at https://jobs.lever.co/ surface updates fast, but I still add one sentence about their audience so it doesn’t read like a template.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

I set Zapier RSS alerts from Workable and Lever searches to Slack so the “posted in real-time” listings hit me within minutes, then I send a 60-second note with one AP-style clip. For edu/digital roles, adding “AP + CMS: WordPress” in the first line of my resume bumped responses. Caveat: a lot of “remote” roles are geo-limited, so I put my state/time zone up top to dodge auto-filters.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌

I keep a 1-page “before/after” edit ready for digital media and another for education, so when listings say “apply promptly” I can drop the most relevant clip and hit send in under two minutes. , tiny caveat: some ATS chew up formatting, so I paste the sample inline or attach a small PDF instead.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‌
