Summary:
The Office of Legislative Counsel seeks a Legislative Editor to copyedit and proofread legislative documents and publications (bill drafts, amendments, etc.). This is a nonpartisan role that focuses on precise editing (paper and PDF), strict adherence to style requirements, and fast-paced work—including session hours.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Copyedit and proofread legislative drafts, amendments, and publications (paper and electronic).

Must be accurate under pressure, adaptable to sudden workflow changes, and able to edit for 8+ hours/day with high precision.

Education/experience: Associate’s degree (preferred Bachelor’s) or equivalent experience; 1+ year professional work experience (preferred 2+ years editing).

Must work nonpartisanly and be proficient with Microsoft Suite/Adobe; ability to learn other software.
